RETURN POLICY

This Return Policy is part of our Terms of Service and applies to all purchases made on the Techbay marketplace. We aim to provide a fair and transparent process for both buyers and sellers.

1. Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)

In accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, buyers have a 14-day "cooling-off period" to return an item for any reason.

  • The 14-day period begins on the day you receive your item.
  • You must inform the seller of your decision to cancel the order within this 14-day period. The easiest way to do this is by initiating a return request through your order history on our platform.
  • After notifying the seller, you have another 14 days to return the item.

2. How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to your profile and navigate to the "My Orders" section.
  2. Find the order you wish to return and click the "Request Return" button.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to provide a reason for the return.
  4. The seller will be notified of your request and will provide instructions for returning the item.

3. Condition of Returned Items

To be eligible for a full refund, items must be returned in the same condition that you received them. This means:

  • The item must be in its original packaging, where applicable.
  • All accessories, manuals, and parts that were included with the item must also be returned.
  • The item must not be damaged, altered, or show signs of use beyond what is necessary to inspect it.

Sellers reserve the right to make a deduction from your refund if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling them more than was necessary.

4. Return Shipping Costs

The responsibility for return shipping costs depends on the reason for the return:

  • If you are returning an item because you've changed your mind (within the 14-day cooling-off period): You, the buyer, are responsible for paying the return postage costs.
  • If you are returning an item because it is faulty, not as described, or damaged: The seller is responsible for covering the return postage costs.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service for all returns to ensure the item arrives safely back with the seller.

5. Refunds

Once the seller receives and inspects the returned item, they will process your refund.

  • Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.
  • The seller must process the refund within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
  • The refund will include the original cost of the item and the standard delivery charge you paid. Please note that supplementary costs for enhanced delivery (e.g., next-day delivery) will not be refunded.

6. Exceptions

The right to cancel does not apply to certain goods, including:

  • Custom-made or personalised items.
  • Goods sealed for health protection or hygiene purposes, once they have been unsealed after you receive them.
